On April 16, 2026, as part of the Clean Energy Transition Advisory Centre (CETAC) project, a meeting dedicated to seniors from Serock (Poland) was organized. The session focused on the topic of renewable energy sources and the challenges associated with electricity costs.
The attendees were welcomed by the Mayor of the City and Municipality of Serock. Afterwards, representatives of the CETAC team outlined the scope of the Advisory Centre's activities. It is worth noting that the project is being implemented from October 2024 to September 30, 2027. The main task of the project is to develop and implement center activities tailored to local conditions, engage citizens in reducing energy consumption through investments and positive habit changes in environmental protection, and involve private and public organizations in energy reduction efforts by establishing strategic dialogues with stakeholders, including raising ecological awareness and knowledge.
In the second part of the meeting, speakers provided the audience with practical tips on how to lower heating costs and energy consumption, explained the reasons behind high electricity bills, and presented available ecological solutions and methods for reading electricity invoices.
The discussion session, during which participants asked questions regarding specific situations and problems, drew significant interest. Experts explained complex technical and formal issues in an accessible manner, which helped resolve many doubts.
The meeting was not only an opportunity to gain practical knowledge but also to have direct contact with professionals in the field of renewable energy. The meeting concluded with a summary of the most important points and an invitation to visit the CETAC point at the City and Municipal Office in Serock.
